Life can be a journey from darkness to light and back again: over and over and over. It is a path each of us needs to learn to walk both alone and with others. Coping with life's challenges does not come naturally to everyone - some of us have to ponder, meditate and struggle to find the path through to the light. The quote is from one of Steven Tyler's songs: "...There is a journey from darkness into light".

Hello and welcome to my site! I hope to take you on a journey of peace, joy, and imagination. I am Anita Hillsley and I have been an Artist in Colorado for over 30 years, currently residing in Fort Collins. The roots of Hillsley Art began when I was growing up in Michigan. My passion for patterns and designs played out in drawing elaborate plants and flowers that my cousin and I lovingly referred to as "Moon Flowers". I casually played with my techniques over the years as I pursued my love of teaching and education. Then, my life took an abrupt left turn with the passing of my long time partner and husband.
