Artist's Description
When tragedy strikes, you may find the color drains from your world. Nothing is "as it was".
There is no time frame on this stage - it lasts as long as it lasts. But at some point the color begins to return as you approach the second stage.
The shapes in this painting represent a lot of the feelings and experiences:
Triangles - change
Squares - stability...the people, places and things that provide you with stability
Tear drops - the sadness that is pouring down on you
Pathways that seem to go nowhere - the confusion and aimlessness you may experience as you try to rebuild your life
The shabby house - your soul that is beaten and bruised
The barren tree - devoid of all color and waiting for a rebirth
Lightening - The shock and disbelief
